Natsuko Ohama

Natsuko Ohama stars as Captain Amanda Cohen, Nick's no nonsense, by-the-book captain, in Forever Knight, a one hour, action drama produced by Paragon Entertainment Corporation in association with TriStar Television and Germany's Telemunchen, and distributed domestically by Columbia TriStar Television Distribution.

Born into a long line of potato farmers on the prairies of Canada, Natsuko left her home in Rainier, Alberto to pursue a career in acting when she was bitten by the bug in high school. She attended the University of Alberta, but left before graduating to join the Working Theatre in New York.

An accomplished stage actress, Natsuko has a long list of theatre credits including her roles as the Duchess of York in Richard II, Yanina in "Widows," June in "Sansei," Yellow Kid in "Ragged Time" and Kirtana in "Swooney Planet," all of which were productions at Los Angeles' Mark Taper Forum. Her Off-Broadway credits include a starring role in "Sound and Beauty" at New York's Public Theatre for which she received a Drama Desk nomination, and "Tea" at the Manhattan Theatre Club. She has also starred in "St. Joan" at the Houston Shaw Festival and appeared as Marie in the Yale Repertory Theatre production of "The Memento."

In addition to her role on Forever Knight, Ohama's other television credits include featured roles in the NBC MOW's Silent Cries with Gena Rowlands and Chloe Webb, Hiroshima: Out of the Ashes and Blind Faith, as well as American Playhouse's production of Hot Summer Winds, and guest appearances on Doogie Howser, M.D., The Bold and the Beautiful and Santa Barbara.

Her feature film credits include starring with Tony Curtis in Title Shot, Midi Onodera's In the Flesh, Flatliners with Julia Roberts and Kiefer Sutherland and the soon to be released action thriller Speed with Keanu Reeves and Dennis Hopper.

Natsuko currently resides in Los Angeles where she is an accomplished voice teacher, coaching performers throughout the United States and Canada.
