Final Details: .
Nov 20 - We closed on the house at 4:00 pm.  Then we went home and packed up the bed and threw some clothes into our duffel bags and moved the bed out to the house.  I guess you could say we started camping out.

Nov 21 -We finished moving the kitchen, and Dorothy spent most of the day organizing and unpacking.  About 4 pm, she moved from the moving in phase to planning for Thanksgiving.  We were having Brian, Gabe & Des (and Grey) as well as Craig over for Thanksgiving.  While Dorothy was doing the kitchen, Glenn worked on arranging furniture that had been brought out the night before, and brought another load over.

Moved in and winter arrived

Nov 22 - We stopped the mad frenzy and gave Thanks for our many blessings and the rich abundance of our lives.

But we weren’t done yet…The week of Dec 3-8 we worked on shelving in the pantry and organized our food supplies, bought a dining nook carpet, hung up all the doors in the house, and put up a forest of trees (all our little alpine fake trees) in the living room.  We went and got the train Dorothy’s dad had left her and put it up.  We ordered and received a living room rug and pad.  Glenn began sheet-rocking upstairs.  There is still much to be done as we only did the basics to get in.  We still have a mud room to do, and a thru-hall to design so that we have a mail-sorting center, a place for phones and keys.  We want to get the upstairs done so Glenn’s folks can visit in the spring, and then eventually get Dorothy’s studio done in the basement so she can get back to painting.
